THE RACE — Sunday 12th April 2009
The race will be starting at 2.30p.m.
The race will be a triangular course and will be a 'Scratch' start with the winner being the one who is first across the line.

MATERIALS & RULES
Each team will be supplied with the following materials:
- Three tubes of adhesive
- One 1200 x 1200 x 7mm structural grade plywood
- Two 2400 x 1200 x 7mm structural grade plywood
- Six lengths 3000 x 50 x 25 DAR timber
- Contestants supply their own fastenings and product for decoration
- Cordless power tools are permitted
- Plans are allowed but no patterns nor templates
- Two person team minimum
- Paddles or oars are to be made from the materials provided
- Build time allowed is two hours
- Life jackets to be worn in the race & must be supplied by the participants
- Boats must be designed to carry the build team around the course by paddle or oar
- Attached registration and waiver form must be completed
- Contestants will be disqualified if they deliberately sink someone prior to completing the race
- All participants will adhere to Occupational Health & Safety regulations. In particular, participants are not allowed to consume alcohol or other substances that may impact on safety. The judges reserve the right to exclude anyone whom they believe to be intoxicated or otherwise affected in their capacity to compete.
- Any unwanted boats may be auctioned after the event
The race course will be triangular, twice around, approximately 50 meters between buoys, the inner buoy 12 meters out from the shore, this buoy will be used as the rounding mark for the second round and also the finishing mark.

$25.00 per team
REGISTRATION
All participants must complete an entry form and insurance waiver before participating in this event.
